Here is a curly maple bowl that I turned for a friend. I really wish I had not added any finish to it. The wood was SO beautiful and the finish seemed to hide that.
I love to read. Fiction almost exclusively. My problem is that I have three kids, a wife, a dog, a house, a few hobbies, a few recreational sports, and only 24 hours in a day.
I have discovered that I can get audiobooks from "Audible.com", put them on my IPod and play them in my car on the way to work. My commute is about 20min each way, so I can hear just over a half an hour each day. I LOVE it. I am close to claiming that my commute is not long enought. I am sure that a number of my coworkers have wondered what I was doing sitting in my car instead of coming in to work.
A number of people have asked me for listening recommendations. I am going to keep a list of what I'm listening to as well as a list of my favorites. I would love some recommendations and always available to discuss the works I list.
